The Ronnisch Story
Our Story
Founded in 1994 as Dowler-Ronnisch by Bernie Ronnisch and David Dowler, Ronnisch Construction Group has grown from a local builder into one of Michigan’s most trusted construction management firms. Early success with ground-up automotive and financial institution projects helped establish a strong foundation, including what would become 129 financial institution builds across the region.
Rebranded as Ronnisch Construction Group in 2000, the company steadily expanded its portfolio to include large-scale commercial, industrial, retail, and mixed-use developments. Major milestones along the way include the completion of a 400,000-square-foot warehouse, national retail rollouts such as Home Depot and Rite Aid, and long-term partnerships with brands like Goldfish Swim School.
Ronnisch’s growth has been matched by thoughtful leadership evolution. Frank Jarbou joined the firm first as a client and later became an Owner and Partner, while Tim Honnoway joined as a Project Estimator and rose through the ranks to become President in 2024. The opening of a Detroit office and a new headquarters further strengthened Ronnisch’s ability to serve clients across Michigan and beyond.
By 2025, Ronnisch Construction Group reached major milestones of more than $1 billion in construction value delivered and 18 million square feet built, including nearly 70 projects completed in the City of Birmingham alone. Today, Ronnisch continues to build on that legacy—combining experience, trusted partnerships, and disciplined execution to deliver projects built on solid ground.
