Breaking Ground on Something Big

A new Kroger. A completed healthcare wing. A city building again. Here’s what JRC has been up to.

Kroger in Commerce Township: 104,000 Square Feet of Ground-Up Ambition

Mobilizing June 1 · 155 Haggerty Road, Commerce Township

A new client. A ground-up build. 104,000 square feet. Let’s get to work.

Jarbou Ronnisch Construction is proud to announce mobilization on our project with Kroger, a 104,000 SF ground-up grocery store at 155 Haggerty Road in Commerce Township. From site work to steel to final finishes, our team brings the same disciplined execution and preconstruction rigor that has defined JRC’s work across Michigan, applied now to one of the most recognized names in American retail.

Ground-up construction is where planning meets pressure. There are no existing walls to work around, no phasing compromises, no shortcuts built into the structure. Everything is earned from the ground up…literally. We’re proud to welcome Kroger to the JRC family of clients and look forward to delivering a project that sets the tone for a long and productive partnership.

Project Completion

HealthCall Phase One: Complete

28,000+ Square Feet Renovated · Royal Oak, MI

Some projects are measured in square footage. Others are measured in the people they serve. The completion of Phase One at HealthCall Community Healthcare Services in Royal Oak is both.

JRC has officially delivered the first phase of a full-scale renovation: transforming more than 28,000 SF of existing space into a modern healthcare environment designed to better support patients, caregivers, and the surrounding community for years to come. Healthcare construction moves differently than most. Schedules are tighter. Tolerances are smaller. The stakes are higher. Our team met every one of those demands.

Phase One is complete. Phase Two has already begun.

What National Brands Look for in a Local Construction Partner

Kroger. CAVA. Nordstrom Rack. Mister Car Wash. Whole Foods. Powerhouse Gym. The list of national brands that have chosen JRC keeps growing and it’s not a coincidence. National retailers and restaurant groups operate on tight timelines and zero tolerance for surprises. What they find in JRC: a team that communicates clearly, moves fast, and delivers exactly what was promised. Every time.

Local knowledge. National standards. That’s the JRC difference.

Detroit Is Building Again | The Multi-Family Momentum

King & Cochrane isn’t just a project. It’s a statement. Detroit’s housing market is in the middle of a genuine resurgence: new residents, new investment, new demand for quality housing close to the city’s core. Detroit has seen a surge in multi-family permits over the past two years, and neighborhoods once written off are now drawing serious development dollars from builders who see what the city is becoming, not just what it was. JRC is proud to be part of that story.

Building Hope · Team JRC

We’re Running for Bernie.

This June, JRC employees are joining Team JRC to raise funds for glioblastoma research in honor of our founder, Bernie Ronnisch, whose legacy continues to shape how we lead, build, and support one another every day. Glioblastoma is one of the most devastating diagnoses a family can receive. We’re proud to stand with the researchers working to change that.

“When a national brand brings their project to JRC, it means something. They’ve done their homework, and they chose us. Our job is to make sure they never question that decision.”
