A New Mix-Use Development Coming to Royal Oak
This marks a new chapter for 14 Mile and Coolidge bringing housing, retail and renewed energy to the corridor.
We’re excited to share that a new mixed-use redevelopment at 14 Mile and Coolidge in Royal Oak has officially received approval marking the start of a project that will bring new energy and purpose to a long-underutilized site.
The development will transform an existing industrial property into a thoughtfully designed destination that blends retail and residential in a way that supports how people live and move through the area.
Plans include a 102,602-square-foot Kroger Marketplace with a fuel center, along with an 85-unit, four-story residential building offering a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 484 to 1,120 square feet.
Jarbou Ronnisch Construction is proud to partner with Symmetry Management and Krieger Klatt Architects on this project. It’s the kind of collaboration that allows things to move forward with clarity, alignment, and a shared understanding of what success looks like from day one.
More than anything, this project is about investment in the community, in housing, and in creating a place that will serve Royal Oak for years to come.
More updates to come as we get closer to breaking ground.
The World’s Largest Powerhouse Gym Is Now Open
JRC Delivers a 120,000 sqft landmark fitness destination at Partridge Creek, setting a new global benchmark for the brand.
Some projects stand out for their size. Others for their complexity. The Powerhouse Gym at Partridge Creek delivered both and then raised the bar.
Jarbou Ronnisch Construction is proud to have completed what is now the largest Powerhouse Gym in the world. At 120,000 square feet, this project pushed the limits of what a fitness facility can be.
From day one, it required precision and coordination at every level. Building at this scale within an active retail environment meant careful phasing, constant communication, and a team that stayed locked in from start to finish.
The end result turns that scale into something more than square footage. It’s an experience built to serve members and the surrounding community for years to come.
Building More Than Buildings
For more than 30 years in Southeast Michigan, JRC has been a steady presence not just on job sites, but in the communities where we work. From supporting the Special Olympics of Michigan, to investing in local subcontractors and trade partners, giving back is part of how we operate.
Founded by Bernie Ronnisch and now led by Principal Frank Jarbou and President Tim Honoway, JRC has always believed that strong relationships are what make projects and companies last. Clients, trade partners, neighbors…those connections are the foundation everything else is built on.
